Photography

The photographs in this web page that were not contributed by other photographers (see individual pages for credits) were made with the following equipment:
All, except for the very recent photographs have been made using slide film. The older ones were made mainly using Kodachrome 64 among various other slow Kodak and Fuji Films. In the 90's mainly used Kodak Elite 100, Fuji Sensia 100 and most of all Fuji Velvia 50. The newer slides were mainly done with Fuji Velvia and Fuji Provia F. Most of the older slides were taken using a Minolta X700, until in the mid eighties I switched to Nikon using FE2, F801S and F90X bodies with various Nikkor AF-lenses. Slides were scanned using Nikon LS-2000, LS-4000 and LS-5000 slide scanners. In recent years I switched to digital using a Fuji Finepix S2 Pro Nikon based Digital SLR Camera and a Nikon D70 to avoid all the scanning work. Currently I use a Nikon D2X body. I try only to use a flash in emergency and rather use a tripod.

Well - That's me... That is (was...) me holding a huge pitcher of Nepenthes insignis near Tayeve in Irian Jaya.
