Nepenthes dubia Dans.

Introduction

In fact, since I saw Nepenthes inermis and Nepenthes dubia in the late eighties for the first time in habitat, these two were my favourite Nepenthes species. While the pitcher of N. inermis is even more bizarre than the one of N. dubia, the whole plant of N. dubia looks more gracile and nicer for my taste.

Habitat of N. dubia on Gunung Talamau Nepenthes dubia grows on open spots within the Gleichenia and in open forest patches.

Nepenthes dubia x singalana (?) (Gunung Talamau) A nice hybrid between N. dubia and a plant resembling N. singalana, which, however, might be a new species.

Nepenthes dubia - seedling pitchers It's well known, that Nepenthes dubia has very interestingly shaped pitchers. However, this not only holds true for the adult plants. Seedlings already have pitchers that can easily been told apart...
