This series was shot on Murosipan Tepui. It illustrates how plant life starts to develop on bare sandstone rock. As a first step soil accumulates in little pockets. Then the first moss-cushions grow. Often these Mosses start to grow on the soil that could accumulate in little pockets or cracks. These cushions often are a start for the development of small plant communities that sit on the bare sandstone rock like little islands.
