This species, formally known as a variety of H. heterodoxa has just been put on specific rank in 2006.
It's unique for not having a real lid but just a more or less developped rudiment.
The form from Amuri grows on vertical rock-faces and is notable for having fairly slender and colorful pitchers and a triangular lid-rudiment.
